MISSION STATEMENT
Sue's Pet Food Angels was established to help provide food for cats and dogs being cared for by people who are having
extreme financial hardship, and have spayed and neutered or are in the process of spaying and neutering their pets.
Our pet food donations are meant to supplement what people are able to provide themselves.

We have found that the need for pet food goes on all year, so we'll continue to help people in need.
You can help anytime by purchasing an extra bag of pet food for cats or dogs; it will be greatly appreciated!
You can also donate in memory of a loved one or a beloved pet.

Click here to  read some of the thank-you letters with pictures from grateful people.
Get your name, business, or group listed on our website as an Angel Donor, along with so many other generous people who have donated.

Let’s keep it going all year!

PLEASE BRING BAGS OF CAT OR DOG FOOD TO BOISE CYCLE
which is our drop-off and pick-up location for pet food.
Boise Cycle is at 9621 Ustick Road in Boise, ID 83704.

We are in close contact with those in need of pet food through local animal rescue groups.  We hand the food directly to those who need it.

(A Poem to Homeless Cats)
Oh, what unhappy twist of fate
Has brought you homeless to my gate?
The gate where once another stood
To beg for shelter, warmth, and food
For from that day I ceased to be
The master of my destiny.

While he, with purr and velvet paw
Became within my house the law.
He scratched the furniture and shed
And claimed the middle of my bed.

He ruled in arrogance and pride
And broke my heart the day he died.
So if you really think, oh Cat,
I'd willingly relive all that
Because you come forlorn and thin
Well...don't just stand there...Come on in!

...Francis Witham

We Gave out 742, 14 oz. canned dog food

Many thanks to all the "Angels" who made this possible!
Let's keep the momentum going for 2012!

Because of all of you who have donated food, or money to buy food, many cats and dogs have full bellies. We had no idea just what a great need there is in the valley.
People who have picked up dog or cat food are so grateful to receive it. It's very hard for them to ask for help. They hug us and say, you have no idea how much this helps our family. It brings tears to our eyes.
All of you should be very proud for helping others in need. I wish everyone could be here to witness the gratitude of those just wanting to feed their beloved pets.

Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart! Sue Davis

If you are interested in having your cat/kitten spayed/neutered prior to re-homing, we'll be happy to help at the Idaho Humane Society SPOT Clinic,
(Stop Pet Overpopulation Today.)
The cost is $25 for a mom cat and $10 for each kitten 9 weeks to 16 weeks old. Male adult cats $25. We also have vaccinations for low cost at the time of the surgery.
This is the route we encourage people to take since it is inexpensive and you can charge a small adoption fee to cover the costs.
A fee also helps to ensure the cat won't be used for dog bait or snake food!
When fewer kittens are born, it greatly increases the chance of a homeless cat at the shelter finding a home.

We also fix feral cats in traps for $10 each and have a free trap loan program available.

Let us know if we can help! SPOTferalcats@idahohumanesociety.org  Phone 331-8554
